“Broadway Fire Shuts Down Oxbow Recreation Area: Public Land Access Restricted”

The Broadway Fire has led to the temporary closure of the Oxbow Recreation Area and its surrounding areas. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which oversees more than 245 million acres of public land primarily in 12 western states including Alaska, made the announcement. The BLM also manages 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
