“BLM Embarks on Beall Trail Revitalization Under Good Neighbor Authority Near Steamboat Springs”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has commenced work under the Good Neighbor Authority on the Beall Trail near Steamboat Springs. The BLM is responsible for managing around 245 million acres of public land, primarily located in 12 western states, including Alaska. This management is carried out on behalf of the American people, ensuring the health, diversity, and productivity of the nation’s public lands for the enjoyment of both current and future generations.

In addition to the surface land, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. This forms part of their mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands.

The Good Neighbor Authority allows the BLM to work collaboratively with local and state entities in managing forests and watersheds across boundaries. The work on Beall Trail near Steamboat Springs is the latest project to be carried out under this authority.
