“Agua Fria National Monument Hosts Bioblitz: A Dive into Biodiversity Conservation”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is conducting a Bioblitz at Agua Fria National Monument. The BLM oversees more than 245 million acres of public land, primarily across 12 western states, including Alaska. The purpose of the Bioblitz is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the enjoyment of both current and future generations.

In addition to managing surface land, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the United States. This administration ensures the responsible use and conservation of these valuable resources.

The Agua Fria National Monument is a significant location for this Bioblitz due to its unique biodiversity and historical importance. The BLM’s mission is to ensure that these lands continue to thrive and remain accessible for public use and enjoyment.
