“Rocky Mountain Resource Advisory Council Shifts June Meeting to Virtual Platform”

The Rocky Mountain Resource Advisory Council’s June meeting, overseen by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), will now be held virtually. The BLM is responsible for managing over 245 million acres of public land, primarily located in 12 western states, including Alaska. This tremendous task is carried out on behalf of the American people.

In addition to the surface land, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the country. This vast estate is a significant national resource, contributing to the country’s mineral wealth and economic development.

The mission of the BLM is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands. This is done for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations, ensuring that these lands remain viable and productive. The virtual meeting of the Rocky Mountain Resource Advisory Council is part of this mission, reflecting the ongoing commitment to manage and protect these public lands.
