The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is set to host California Trail Days on June 7 and 8 at the California Trail Interpretive Center. The BLM is responsible for managing over 245 million acres of public land, primarily located in 12 western states, including Alaska. This event is part of the BLM’s mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the enjoyment of current and future generations.

In addition to the surface land, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
