The announcement of the fire restrictions comes as part of the BLM’s mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. The Stage 1 fire restrictions are a proactive measure designed to prevent wildfires and protect the land under BLM’s care.

The specifics of the Stage 1 fire restrictions have not been detailed in the announcement. However, such restrictions typically limit certain activities that could potentially ignite a wildfire, such as campfires, smoking, and certain types of equipment use.
