“Albuquerque Sunport Unveils ‘Knowledge Concourse’, Showcasing New Mexico’s Higher Education Excellence”
The Albuquerque International Sunport has launched a new exhibit titled “Knowledge Concourse” that showcases the diversity and impact of New Mexico’s higher education institutions. The exhibit features eight local colleges and universities, each presented in a separate glass case on the terminal’s first level, near the baggage claim. The participating institutions include Central New Mexico Community College, Eastern New Mexico University, New Mexico Highlands University, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico State University, Northern New Mexico College, University of New Mexico, and Western New Mexico University.
Mayor Keller stated that the exhibit, which highlights the students, innovation, and culture of these institutions, serves as a unique welcome to travelers and a celebration of what keeps New Mexico moving forward. The exhibit forms part of the Sunport’s ongoing “Dream of Flight” terminal renovation, providing another engaging airport experience for both visitors and residents.
Aviation Acting Director Manny Manriquez emphasized that the showcases are more than just aesthetic enhancements. They represent a celebration of knowledge, community, and the future of New Mexico, and align with the “Dream of Flight” vision. The exhibit is now open to the public and located near the baggage claim area on the airport’s lower level, and all eight displays can be viewed simultaneously. The Albuquerque International Sunport, New Mexico’s largest commercial airport, welcomes over 5.5 million passengers annually.
