“BLM Invites Public Opinion on Proposed Castle Gold Exploration Near Tonopah”
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public input on the proposed Castle Gold Exploration project near Tonopah. The BLM, which manages over 245 million acres of public land primarily in 12 western states including Alaska, is responsible for sustaining the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
In addition to managing public land, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. These lands hold significant potential for mineral exploration and extraction, which can contribute to the economy while also posing environmental challenges.
The Castle Gold Exploration project represents one of these potential opportunities. As part of its commitment to transparency and public involvement, the BLM is seeking input on this project from the public. This initiative aligns with the BLM’s mission to manage these lands and resources for the benefit of all Americans, both present and future.
