“Controlled Burn Set for Arizona’s Public Lands to Boost Ecosystem Health”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has planned a prescribed fire for public lands on the Arizona Strip. The BLM is responsible for the management of about 245 million acres of public land, primarily located in 12 western states, including Alaska. This is done on behalf of the American people. In addition to this, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate nationwide.

The prescribed fire is part of the BLM’s mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands. This mission is carried out to ensure the use and enjoyment of these lands by present and future generations. The BLM’s actions are guided by the principle of maintaining the ecological balance of these lands.

The prescribed fire on the Arizona Strip is set to take place between November and January. Additional details about the planned fire can be found on the BLM’s official website. The BLM’s decisions and actions are always open to public input, ensuring that the interests of the American people are taken into consideration.
