“Join the Festivities at Lobatos Bridge: Celebrating America’s Public Lands Along the Rio Grande”
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is inviting the public to a celebration at Lobatos Bridge, located along the Rio Grande River. The BLM is an agency that manages approximately 245 million acres of public land, primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska. This is done on behalf of the American people, with the mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
In addition to the land it manages, the BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. This mineral estate is a significant resource and contributes to the country’s energy and economic security.
The Lobatos Bridge celebration is an opportunity for the public to enjoy and appreciate one of the many areas managed by the BLM. The event underscores the importance of public lands in the United States and the BLM’s commitment to preserving these lands for future generations.
