“Sedona’s Fest of Fall Features Free Pumpkin Drop-Off for Eco-Friendly Fun”
The city of Sedona, Arizona will host a free pumpkin drop-off site at the Fest of Fall event on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event, which takes place at Posse Grounds Park from 1 to 4 p.m., is a collaborative effort between the city’s Sustainability Department, the Parks and Recreation Department and Compost Crowd.
The initiative is an opportunity for residents to dispose of their pumpkins in an environmentally friendly way, as the collected pumpkins will be composted rather than ending up in landfills. The compost created from the pumpkins will then be used to enrich the soil in the city’s parks and green spaces.
The pumpkin drop-off event is part of the city’s wider sustainability efforts and is designed to foster a culture of recycling and environmental responsibility among the residents of Sedona. The event also underlines the importance of community participation in maintaining the city’s green spaces.
