“Slash Pile Burn Operations Underway in Mesa County by Wildland Firefighters”

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which oversees approximately 245 million acres of public land primarily in 12 western states, including Alaska, has announced plans to burn slash piles in Mesa County. This is part of their mission to maintain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for current and future generations to enjoy.

The decision to burn the slash piles in Mesa County is a proactive measure to ensure the safety and preservation of the land. The BLM continues to work towards the sustainable management of public lands across the US, focusing on both surface and sub-surface areas.
